Abortion

Personally, I don't think abortion is a great thing. When a man and a woman have sex and simply do not use protection, killing a child is not an effective way to deal with the situation. I can definitely understand why people get abortions, and in the case of rape victims abortion should really be an option. I think there are other alternatives, such as adoption, or maybe taking responsibility for your actions and raising the child. I read Freakonomics over the summer and it discussed abortion and a drop in crime. After analyzing some information, it was realized that since abortion was made available many would-be criminals were killed off. As horrible as it sounds, abortion was kind of a good thing. Just an interesting fact.
