The way i see it is if you dont accept yourself no one else will. Before i started high shool people made suh a big deal on how its so different and how people are more ruel then they were middle school. But thats so NOT true. When i was in elementry school, i got made fun of from 5th- 7th grade. People use to spread rumors and what not. But when i entered high school. It was a total different enviroment. People were more accepting. I know that there are some cases where some aren't accepted. And i feel bad for the kids that have to live through hell during high school. I dont try to fit in. Im not worried about how people look at me or what they think. Im me. I act the way i would act if i was back in chicago with my friends. But no matter where i am people have accepted me for me. Grant you there has been a few that havent throughout high school but i dont care. In high school theres cliques but not as bad in elemenrty school. See when i was in elementry school if you didnt fit in with the "populars" then you were an outcast. Sure you have some that stick to their own "kind" but alot of us hang out and are friends with different types of people. Thats one thing i really like about high school. We all accept eachother whether we are ghetto, punk, preppy, whatever. We are all friends with eachother.
