....
Maybe the fact that I'm a girl makes me think differently about this, and maybe because I'm a liberal... I don't know. But the fact of the matter is this: If a guy was able to get pregnant and not the woman, then I know more guys would rally in support of abortion. Men don't understand fully the stress and trauma of giving birth, especially at such a young age. Yea sure girls had an option not to have sex, but so did the guy who got her pregnant. Who's the one that has to wear the condom? Yes, girls can go on BC but there's a high risk of blood clots which, which I know from experience, can kill you. ( I was not on BC it was from surgery). So yes, sure a girl had the choice, but so did the guy. So here's a question to think about. If guys were the ones getting pregnant, the ones who had to get fat, big boobs, out of control hormones, PPD (Post Pardum Depression which 25% of women get after giving birth), the chance of dying during birth, or having a miscarriage, not being able to go to college, having a minimum wage paying job with zero to no benefits, and not being able to send your child to college plus having a below standard of living, would you still go through with it at such a young age? (Just so you know this is what most likely happens to teen mothers, whose boyfriend left them after she gave birth. 90% of the time the teen mother will not give the child up for adoption. Could you really think of giving away your own flesh and blood after going through almost 30 hours of tearing, bleeding painful birth?) (sorry to gross you all out)
