You have been having some great conversations on here, and I am really enjoying reading your thoughts and ideas. I will try to add some more of my own thoughts now that we have gotten off and rolling. I think this is really a great forum for us to have some great conversations... I hope Sabrina doesn't disappear when she is no longer grounded!
Anyway, I wanted to comment on the college topic. First, I understand your frustration with the adults in your lives, but keep in mind the only reason they are on your backs is because they want what is best for you. It will all be over soon and then you will be off and rolling. The idea and pressure of this time and going off to college can be daunting, but it is well worth the stress. College will be an amazing time for you and I am excited for the adventures you will have.
When you have been accepted somewhere I hope you will share it with the class or at least myself, because that is something to be proud of and we should celebrate the conclusion of your college search. One more thing... someone mentioned how it is scary to have to pay for it and how you will be paying until your late twenties or thirties. Let me tell you, I will not be done paying my school loans off until I am in my fifties, but every single penny is worth it, because I made it worth it. Sam said how it would all be worth it, but I am going to go one step further and say that you are really going to be the one that makes it worth it. I had friends who squandered their time in school... don't be that guy. Keep in mind how valuable your time in college is an get everything you can out of it... your classes, activities, dorm life/greek life... whatever you choose!
Alright, now for what I was thinking might be an interesting topic... Iraq. What do you think about our continued involvement in Iraq... explain your thoughts... You have access to the articles available right on this blog to do a little reading before you post if you feel like you need to. Like always, you can add a new topic or thought if you would like, but I just wanted to toss this one out there.
