immigration cont..

I completely agree that people should be allowed into the united states as long as they follow the rules. However I think that it should be done in a legal way, I don't think jumping the boarder is helping anyone. If we just legalized it and let them in in an orderly fashion things would be much better. When I was in California 2 years ago the traffic I was in was stopped by an immigration rights parade. I think its sad how tons of kids are basically stuck in limbo when there illegal immigrants, its like they get here and then they cant work legally or go to school legally because there illegal. I think that the DREAM ACT the law thats trying to be passes should definatly get passed. The law states that "illegal immigrants who entered the U.S. before the age of 16, and have lived here at least five years, should receive conditional legal status if they have graduated from high school and have a clean record. After six years, they could become permanent legal residents if they serve in the U.S. military for at least two years or complete at least two years of college. As with most green card holders, they could apply for citizenship after five years"
I think that this would help increase our military and it would give kids a chance to do somthing good with there life, because inevitably they would be forced to go to school and graduate, and ontop of it all they could be kept out of trouble in order to have a clean record. It really sucks though because basically there arnt enough people supporting this to make it pass.

Also does anyone remember when the baby was born in the airplane over America going to land in America but they were debating weather the baby was a citizen since it was born in the air? Although it is supposed to be illegal to fly to America when your that pregnant, I still think that there should have been no questions and we should have welcomed the baby and mother into our country. I guess I think it just makes us look like complete assholes when we make the littlest of things into the biggest deals. One other thing, do they turn us down in mexico if we want to live there and become a citizin!?
