Sadly to say I'm in Kim's position and not knowing too much about the war in Iraq. The last time I have been really updated was in Mr. Widolowski's world Geo. class last year and we would always watch news on line about it. Not that much of it made sense to me but we were basically updated when a huge bomb went off or when someone that was from Illinois or someone close by was killed. I remember hearing that we were trying to get the soldiers out of Iraq by beginning of 2008 but Bush wants to keep them in there for some strange reason. Personally I think we should have a soldiers out of there soon. It doesn't really seem like we have progressed anywhere and more of our men keep dying. What's the point of having our soldiers there if we can't accomplish what we have been trying to do for the last how many year's? Again like Kim said there are many days where I don't even realize that we are in this war.
I know we are there because we are to protect the Iraq people and other reason's but we can't be protecting them for the next 3 or 4 years to come. And what happens when we do pull out of Iraq? Will America be happy when our troops come home but knowing that their could be danger towards us because we have turned our back to Iraq or will we still stay and continue to have our soldiers killed?
