So attempting to comment on Mr. Spoor's question...
(I promise to try to keep this short!!)
About Iraq...
Lately, I have not been following the war as attentively as I had been the first few years of war. I sometimes forget we are even in a real war, because unless you know a soldier or someone directly involved, we aren't really affected by it on a daily basis. I don't follow politics as much as some teens do, but I am pretty good about knowing the easy version of what's going on in the world. Ever since the beginning of war, i have been against our troops being over there and I have never been Bush's biggest fan. I don't want to get into a huge debate about Republicans, Democrats, Bush haters and Bush lovers, but I do want to say that I think he needs to figure out a way to get us tof there quick. Way too many young men and women have died in in the years since September 11, 2001. It is necesary to reduce the number of troops... I mean, we originally went over there to stop Osama, then we were looking for "weapons of mass destruction" (did we ever find those??) Sadaam is dead (lets not get me started on that...) , and now... wait, what are we doing there now? Honestly... that's my question. Who is a regular newspaper reader/knowlegable person about the war? What are we fighting for?
