Liberal/Conservative?

I agree with Dan about liking some views of a political party, but at the same time disliking other views of the same party and prefering the views of the other. I, like Dan, have family members who are extremely conservative, like my mom, and extremely liberal, like my step-dad. Because of this I definatly think that it has influenced my views of what should be done in the government. This is why when it comes time to elect a new president, I'm not sure which way I'm going to vote because I like what one person has to say about one thing but like what the other has to say about something else.
