Costumes

I think the fact that the school is making such a big deal about the costumes is causing more distraction to the students. It's kind of sad when teachers are mad that they are doing this too because they were going to dress up. They say it's a distraction, and for some costumes that's understandable, but to take away the fun for one day is ridiculous. I think that if all the students follow the dress code then what's the problem? I know there are always those few that won't but it's just a fun atmosphere to be in at school. It makes it cool in the hall to be able to walk and look at what everyone else is wearing. People are really creative when it comes to some costumes. I think that our school is treating us like children and this is basically telling us that we can't handle ourselves and focus during classes. I know in years that have passed, there really hasn't been any distractions at all.
